Here's a sneak preview of BabyBear at 10wks in the womb!

The baby measures about 1.5 inches at the moment and is still shaped like a bean (hence the nickname "Beano"). Due date is estimated around January 25th, 2010. (Beano is a very patriotic baby as Australia's equivalent to 4th of July is around that same date too!)
We had our first Dr's appointment last Friday. Usually the first one is at 12 wks, but as we are flying out to Montana soon & our Dr will also be away on holidays soon, we met early at 10wks gestation. It was so exciting to see the little one moving his/her arms & legs and to hear the baby's heartbeat!! The technology is amazing. God is even more amazing!! :)
Click on the link below to view my attempt at creating an animated GIF of baby's movements using the 4 images from the ultrasound. Enjoy! We'll have more in about 7 weeks...
It's good to be reminded by Psalm 139 that the Lord knows us all from an very early start. Please help me Jesus to live a life that glorifies and pleases you as my creator & king. Amen.
"O Lord, you have searched me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
you are familiar with all my ways.
...
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
your eyes say my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!"
Psalm 139:1-3, 13-17
