Jesus Rocks the World

Isaac's favourite singer/entertainer at the moment is... No, not the Wiggles, although they do come a close 2nd.
It is Colin Buchanan.
He's a christian singer that writes/performs kids songs - http://www.colinbuchanan.com.au
One of the songs Isaac loves and regularly dances to is "Jesus Rocks The World".

He found an old pair of my sunglasses one afternoon and was in the groovin mood. Enjoy the show!

Jesus Rocks the World

(by Colin Buchanan)

-------------------------------------------------

Jesus is the King of Kings. Jesus Rocks the World.

Jesus is the Lord of Lords. Jesus Rocks the World.

He rules the earth, He rules the sky

He's the Holy God on high

Every tongue is gonna cry...

Jesus Rocks the World!

Happy Birthday #2

Isaac turned 2 on the first day of June and we celebrated with a Lightening McQueen cake. He's into cars and anything boy-like that he can make crash and stuff into his Little People 3-story garage.

The day started with his choice of breakfast - pancakes with ice cream and syrup! Nice! The day before we had some friends from church over with their children (ages 6-10) and he got to play with them, eat cake, and act like a "big" kid!

Craig took time off work on Monday afternoon and we took Isaac to play at Lollipops indoor playland. Since it's been a rainy winter here, that seemed like a great option to us too! He and Craig climbed over everything, went down the big slide, threw balls in the ball pit, and bounced til his hearts content on the jumping castle.
We finished off with dinner at a local restaurant, Hogs Breath Cafe, with Auntie Megan, Auntie Nat & Uncle Liam, and SuperPa!

He walked out at the end of the night wearing his new Elmo smock waving & saying "Bye" to everyone in the restuarant. What a character!

Oh my... to be TWO!!

Poots

I probably shouldn't post this...
but as Aunt Lukka Lukka always says "Farting & Falling are always funny!" :)

It seems Isaac agrees. He is aware now of when he does a "poot" and promptly announces it to us when it happens. Oh my!

He also does some impressions of other people pooting. Only for those viewers who enjoy a little potty humour....

May 2009 - Fiji

God gave us a much needed holiday in early May (Mother's Day actually) to Fiji.
This was a special trip as Craig's grandfather came with us. That's Isaac's great-grandfather (aka "SuperPa"). It was a week of pancakes for Isaac, fresh fish for us, swimming, relaxing, and beautiful sunsets over the water. Here's a few pics from the trip.

May 2009 - Tattoos

So it turns out Isaac is a fan of body art. Well... at least blue sheep that is! :)

He got hold of a stamp one morning while I was on the phone and
he went to town decorating his arms!
After it was all said and done, all he had to say was...

"Baa Baa Baa"!

April 2009 - Running with Dada

Craig & Isaac have this great Father-Son tradition...

When Craig gets home from work, Isaac runs to the front door and yells "Dada". Isaac then bends at the waist and waits patiently for Craig to run down the hallway at him. When Craig gets there, Craig taps Isaac's ear (which is the signal to "GO") and Isaac stands up straight and bolts down the hallway.... only to repeat it on the other end. Sometimes there's a variation with and under the leg maneuver! Seriously, it's hilarious. I can only hope it comes through as funny on the video.

March 2009 - Nemo

We've determined our son is actually a fish. :) Isaac "Nemo" Howlett. We have yet to locate the gills, but can confirm he loves the water. Now that I think about it, perhaps he's a labrador!

We spent a weekend down on the South Coast where Frank & Lyn (the Grey Nomads since retirement :) were staying in their caravan. Here's some video from our little fish in the wading pool.

It was very scenic as the public pools were actually ocean pools (filled by the ocean when the tide comes in) so we could watch the sunset over the water and see boats passing by.

Feb 2009 - Family Photos

Isaac has been praticing learning the names of family overseas so he can say them when we get to see you next. I was able to catch him reading his Montana Christmas book one morning while eating a bowl of Fruit Loops :) He definitely recognizes the photos, the words will soon catch up!

Catching up

Apologies for the extremely long delay in posting updates. I plead guilty to avoiding technology most days. I'm also somewhat perplexed on where the best place is to share updates & photos.... here, Snapfish, Facebook, email?? I wish I could just sit down and show you these in person.

So here goes, some fave photos & videos & stories from the first half of 2009!

....Much love to all
