March 2009 - Nemo

We've determined our son is actually a fish. :) Isaac "Nemo" Howlett. We have yet to locate the gills, but can confirm he loves the water. Now that I think about it, perhaps he's a labrador!

We spent a weekend down on the South Coast where Frank & Lyn (the Grey Nomads since retirement :) were staying in their caravan. Here's some video from our little fish in the wading pool.

It was very scenic as the public pools were actually ocean pools (filled by the ocean when the tide comes in) so we could watch the sunset over the water and see boats passing by.

Feb 2009 - Family Photos

Isaac has been praticing learning the names of family overseas so he can say them when we get to see you next. I was able to catch him reading his Montana Christmas book one morning while eating a bowl of Fruit Loops :) He definitely recognizes the photos, the words will soon catch up!

Catching up

Apologies for the extremely long delay in posting updates. I plead guilty to avoiding technology most days. I'm also somewhat perplexed on where the best place is to share updates & photos.... here, Snapfish, Facebook, email?? I wish I could just sit down and show you these in person.

So here goes, some fave photos & videos & stories from the first half of 2009!

....Much love to all

Little Drummer Boy

One last Christmas entry. Isaac loves music - dancing, singing (if it's the right song - at the moment, he'll let you know if he doesn't like it!), and playing keyboard or bells or xylophone.

We got Isaac a set of kids drums this year (once again, silly us!). :) It's been great taking turns on them and sometimes we let him play too! haha!!

Here's his first debut drum solo...
(CD coming soon)

Christmas Toys

Isaac enjoyed a plethora of gifts this year. Here are a few highlights....

His Elmo workbench & tool belt. He loves to hit the Cookie monster drill into wood and hammer nails/screws with the Oscar. Kid goes crazy banging and twisting and pulling gears!
Silly us though - Elmo sings whenever he touches something... "Elmo's working on his toolbench.." Ahhh! We'll learn!

A old-time fire engine from Auntie Rachel & Uncle Daniel & Caleb (godparents). His feet can't quite reach the pedals yet, but it's fun to turn the steering wheel.

A fire engine pool from the Howlett's. In case you didn't know,
Isaac is part labrador - he LOVES water and getting wet!

Getting the pool ready for some water fun!

Our little carpenter! Can't wait til he can do some renovations on the house for us!!

Sorry I couldn't post eveything. Thank you to all the family here & overseas who sent cards, gifts, and prayers for the holidays!
We love you!!!

Family Christmas 2008

Here are some pics from our family Christmas get-togethers 2008....

Christmas day - Isaac entertaining Auntie Nat, Uncle Liam, Grandpa Frank & SuperPa with his amazing trick of putting clothespins in a pot and dumping them everywhere!

Uncle Scott & Isaac checking out the presents under the tree.

Isaac giving Nanny Lyn a refreshing foot bath
with cold water from the tap!
It was a good way to cool down on a hot Christmas day.

My little Elf taking a break in mom's lap before running around more
and stealing bits off Grandma Chez's gingerbread house!

The Howlett family celebrated Christmas Eve with a delicious BBQ and game of boche balls. Santa came to visit us, but quickly got overheated in his felt suit!

Dad, Isaac & Grandpa Noel enjoying the countryside & horses at Cobbitty on Christmas Eve.

Praise God for family!

New Shoes

Toddlers love to run. Isaac is definitely one of them. Like his cousin Joesph, he's also trying to learn how to jump. So stinkn funny, when they can't actually do it yet!

We bought a basic pair of joggers for Zack-Zack on the weekend. It was like Forrest Gump when we put them on him. He had all this extra energy and just wanted to keep running. Here's some video clips of our day outside with him and the new shoes!
